Google has just launched NotebookLM mobile apps, and we’re thrilled. This means we can now use one of our favourite AI tools not only on our laptops but also on our phones and tablets.
Whether you’re on the bus, out for a walk, or just curled up on the sofa, NotebookLM is now right there with you. And at Paadia, it’s opened up new possibilities.

What is NotebookLM again?
NotebookLM is a tool powered by AI that helps you make sense of big chunks of information. You upload your documents and it acts like a smart research assistant, helping you ask questions, summarise content, and find exactly what you’re looking for.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by a massive PDF or a long report, you’re not alone. NotebookLM makes it easier to navigate and actually use all that information.
Why we’re excited about the mobile app
Until now, NotebookLM was only available through a web browser. That meant sitting or standing at a desk to use it, which isn’t always ideal when you’re working on the go or juggling different projects.
With the new mobile app, we can now:
Ask questions and get answers from our documents on the spot
Quickly summarise long articles or reports while out and about
Review notes or prep materials from our phones before a meeting
It’s fast, it’s convenient, and it fits around the way we actually work.
How we use NotebookLM at Paadia
At Paadia, we work with a lot of research materials, workshop content, and training resources. NotebookLM helps us stay on top of it all. Here are some of our favourite ways to use it:
1. Listening to reports
We often upload long research papers, evaluations or strategy documents and ask NotebookLM to break them down for us. Instead of reading through every page, we can quickly ask questions like “What were the main challenges highlighted in this report?” or “What did the data show for 2024?”. We then use the AI-generated summaries to create audio versions we can listen to while doing other things.
2. Summarising big documents
Sometimes we come across reports, research papers or other documents with hundreds of pages. Instead of scrolling through all of them, we let NotebookLM generate clear summaries we can actually work with.
3. Finding the needle in the haystack
Ever searched through a 70-page PDF for just one quote? With NotebookLM, we can search across the whole document and find the section we need in seconds, even without knowing the exact wording. That saves us time and headaches.
What this means for our work
The mobile app has made NotebookLM even more flexible. Whether we’re prepping for a workshop, building a resource, or just trying to get our heads around a the latest developments in the AI-world, we can now do it on the go.
It’s one more way AI is helping us work smarter, not harder.
